The Space
Comfy one bedroom light filled cottage with verandah set in our back garden with views into the hills. Self contained, self catered, peaceful, private. An hour & a half by train from Sydney. Great walking and mtn biking at your doorstep. An easy train ride to all Blue Mountain attractions.
Guest Access
Azure Hills Cottage is tucked away at the back of our bush garden nestled into lovely bush surroundings. You have a separate access to the cottage via our side lane. No one overlooks the cottage, you are private and able to relax and unwind.
As our guests you have access to Azure Hills Cottage and its garden and you may use the laundry on request for no fee. We love our pets and our chook (chicken) and can make your pets welcome on request.
Interaction with Guests
I'll 'meet and greet' you on your arrival, show you around and am happy to chat and tell you about the delights of the area. We live in the house at the front of the property and we can be contacted there during your stay.
The Neighbourhood
The sounds of the bush, singing birds, kookaburras, summer cicadas make our area special. You are close to our local village shopping centre which has a good cafe, post office, and all the other shops you need during your stay. Bush walks and mountain biking are just at the end of our street. There is an Olympic sized public swimming pool in Lawson, one village away.
Getting around
Hazelbrook train station is a 10 minute walk away, trains travel into Sydney (only an hour and a half away) or further up the mountains to the other villages and attractions such as the Three Sisters at Katoomba. If your driving, we are easily reached via the Great Western Highway and the parking is at the front of the house.
Other Things to Note
If you don't want to cook then there are good takeaways (take outs) at the Hazo (Hazelbrook) village shops, pizza, chicken, hamburgers, fish and chips and a nice Thai restaurant. The Thai and pizza place home deliver. Lawson pub is only a 10 minute drive away and they do great evening meals.
Bush walking, mountain biking, the glorious views of the Blue Mountains National Park, good cafes, restaurants, local pubs.
